Le Barcarès is a place with plenty of restaurants for fine dining out. There is no shortage of shops. For the children there's Lunapark. The lovely old harbour town of Perpignan is 24 kilometres away. Collioure, a bit further away (40 km) is one of the most charming and picturesque fishing villages in the South of France. The camp site is less than 1 hour's drive from Spain and the Pyrenees. A day trip to Barcelona (217 km) is well worth the effort.
