Surroundings
There is plenty to see and enjoy in the Loire region. You can fish, surf or sail on the lovely lake just 200 metres from the site. The city of Tours, with its market square and town houses dating back to the 15th century is 5km away. And of course the splendour of the beautiful Loire chateaux: Château de Villandry, for example, built in Renaissance style with one of France's most beautiful gardens. Château de Chenonceaux was built at the beginning of the 16th century and was a gift from Henry II to Diane of Poitiers in 1547.
