Simplonblick camp site is located in the stunning Swiss canton of Wallis, not far from the Simplon Pass which runs from Switzerland into Italy. This family camp site is truly recommended for anyone who enjoys countryside and tranquillity, even during a summer camping holiday! Raron is located in the Rhône valley at the foot of the imposing Alps. A fantastic area for hiking, mountain biking, mountain climbing or going on day trips by car. From here you can literally go in all directions.

To the south are the highest and most famous Alpine peaks near Zermatt and Saas Fee, including the Matterhorn, Europe's most photographed mountain. The route to Zermatt via Visp and Grächen is breathtakingly beautiful. To the west lies Lake Geneva with towns such as Montreux and Lausanne. The Italian regions of Piemonte and Valle d'Aosta and famous Lake Maggiore are also not far away. East of the camp site near Brig there is the impressive 24 kilometre long Aletsch glacier. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the first listed monument in the Alps!

Back at the camp site you can enjoy excellent facilities. You can savour the delights of the local cuisine in the restaurant or you can enjoy a drink or a simple meal outside on the terrace. Simplonblick borders a nature reserve with trees and brooks. The grounds themselves are wonderfully natural. In short a wonderful spot for a relaxing or active holiday in Switzerland.
