Accommodation info
With so many different makes and types, an exact description would be impossible. What you have here is a general description. In reality there will always be small differences. The photos and sketch maps are meant to give you an overall impression. All camp sites offering fully equipped accommodation on this website show symbols to describe the actual amenities
Below is a general description of the different types of accommodation together with the appropriate symbols.
Static caravans
Frame tents
Chalets
Bungalows
Camping pitches
Static caravans are fully fitted and offer the most comfortable and luxurious way to camp. Everything is provided! The interior is generally as follows: Living room with entrance and a dining/sitting area (which can usually be adapted into an additional double bed), Bedroom 1 with double bed.
Bedroom 2 with two single beds. Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet (sometimes a separate toilet). Fitted kitchen with a 2 to 4 ring gas hob and fridge. Plenty of storage space for personal possessions. Terrace and/or private garden with garden furniture.
Static caravans for a maximum of 4 people sometimes have only one bedroom. In some cases the second bedroom has a third single bed or bunk beds. Makes frequently offered include O'Hara, ABI, Bürstner, BK Bluebird and IRM.
You want to camp but still have maximum comfort? Then a spacious and fully equipped frame tent is just for you! The interior is generally as follows: large living area with table and chairs which can also be used outside, for example in a shady spot under an awning, Sleeping area 1 with one double bed, Sleeping area 2 with two single beds. Between the sleeping areas there is usually a rail for hanging clothes. Cooking area with a 2 to 4 ring gas hob and fridge. Generally there is ventilation in the top or side of the tent, allowing a pleasant temperature inside. Between the sleeping areas there is usually a rail for hanging clothes, and the tent has lighting. Terrace and/or private garden with garden furniture.
Frame tents for a maximum of 5 or 6 people have either one or two bunk bed(s) in the second sleeping area, or a third sleeping area, Popular makes of tent are Trigano and Socofim.
It's not always easy to tell the difference between a static caravan and a chalet. The absence of wheels and the comfortable interior - with a lot of use made of wood or wood-effect materials - make some static caravans seem just like a chalet. In general chalets have more space and comfort than 'classic' static caravans and there is usually more storage space.

Bedroom 2 with two single beds or bunk beds. Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet (sometimes a separate toilet). Fitted kitchen with a 2 to 4 ring gas hob and fridge. Plenty of storage space for personal possessions. In most cases your chalet will have a covered wooden terrace with garden furniture for relaxing outdoors.
Some camp sites offer bungalows. These differ very little from chalets regarding the interior. It is possible that one or more of the bedrooms will be upstairs, and you should also be aware that not all bungalows are detached.
It is possible to reserve a pitch in advance on virtually any camp site. The rates displayed in the price list are based (except where otherwise shown) on:
- one tent, caravan or trailer tent
- 2 adults
- one car
Do you want to make use of other services such as water or electricity connections, or are you travelling with more than 2 people? You can request this when booking, subject to availability on your chosen camp site.
